The four Guinness Premiership semi-finalists for the 2006/07 season have been confirmed following Saturday's penultimate round of fixtures, with Leicester Tigers, Gloucester Rugby, London Wasps and Bristol Rugby all securing their places in the last four.
Leicester Tigers finished the regular season as champions with 78 points, three ahead of Gloucester on 67, with London Wasps in third on 65 and Bristol — whose impressive run-in included wins over Saracens and Sale — claiming the fourth spot on 60 points.
The semi-finals will take place on Saturday 19 May, with Tigers hosting Wasps at Welford Road in the first semi, and Gloucester entertaining Bristol at Kingsholm in the second. The winners will meet at Twickenham on Saturday 26 May in the Guinness Premiership Final.
Mark McCafferty, Chief Executive of Premier Rugby, said: "We have had a tremendous season and these four clubs thoroughly deserve their place in the semi-finals. The play-offs are always the highlight of the season and we expect two outstanding matches next weekend."
The final round of regular-season fixtures also confirmed relegation for Leeds Carnegie, who finish 12th and drop to the National Division One. Harlequins, after a difficult campaign, retained their Premiership status with a final-day win at home to Worcester Warriors.
Saracens, Sale Sharks, Newcastle Falcons and London Irish complete the regular-season standings outside the play-off places. All four can take pride in contributions to what has been one of the most competitive Premiership seasons on record.
